Our Client is a leading 4 star hotel located on the south side of Dublin. With over 250 bedrooms, the hotel boasts large Banqueting Suites and busy business centres with a variety of room capacities.
Reporting into the Sales and Marketing Manager, the Client is currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with excellent proactive sales experience, along with an ability to drive revenue and achieve targets.
This is an exclusively proactive sales role involving travel and can be tailored to part-time or full-time, depending on the skills and expertise of the ideal candidate.
Role Criteria:
Experience working in sales within the hospitality industry for a minimum of 4 years
Target driven, with a real understanding of how to drive sales and account manage the hotel’s varied client base.
Responsible for achieving CB target
Responsible for account management & development of new sales in the following segments:
Corporate:- all sources including
Corporate individuals including annual rate contracting
Corporate groups/trainings/potential residentials
Corporate social events: parties/Christmas etc
Group:- all sources including
Agency sales: Ireland & UK
Venue Finders: Ireland & UK
Tourism Bodies
Social Functions:- all sources including
Working local societies
Clubs
Sports & social
Responsible for all sales from Ireland & UK markets
Travel to the UK is a requirement of the role
Ability to manage social media i.e. blog/website/twitter/Facebook for the hotel an advantage.
Association and National Agency
Attending agreed (with the S&M Mgr / Directors ) events that are organised by the above organisations
Building up a relationship with these organisations to ensure the Company is well represented and receives sufficient business from this industry sector as per the Business Plan
Assisting the Sales and Marketing Manager with appointments within this sector and chasing up business opportunities that have been created.
