Job Description:
Reservations ManagerThis would be the perfect opportunity to develop and grow your reservations and revenue experience in a vibrant city centre hotel. This role will report directly to the General Manager.
Purpose:
To carry out all reservation duties, working as a key member of the Front Office Team
Key Responsibilities:
To ensure all group bookings are entered correctly into the reservations system
To ensure that you maximise occupancy and rate daily
To be aware of relevant competitor information and market changes
To manage group follow up and ensure all group business is quoted correctly and contracted in line with terms and conditions
To ensure that the Front Office team have all relevant back up for group arrivals
To liaise with reception on any queries from guest / group billings
Ensure all group files are up to date and managed daily
To compile and circulate the group arrivals report
To compile reports as requested by the General Manager
The ideal candidate:
Must have 2 years previous experience in a similar role in a quality hotel
Must be flexible, enjoy a challenge, and be able to work outside your comfort zone while maintaining the ability to be objective and positive
Be courteous and focused in providing a consistently high standard of service
Must be a team player with the ability to multi task
Must be standards driven and detail orientated, with the desire to progress within the luxury market
Maintain a professional image at all times
Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must have a working knowledge of front office software package
