Our client is a busy 4* hotel with an award winning restaurant. There is a vacancy for a capable and enthusiastic Restaurant Manager to join the team.
This is a busy, 4 star country hotel, with a large farm, they provide much of their own produce and have developed a reputation for the highest quality of food. The hotel has plans to develop the self sufficient concept further and gain more dining awards and accolades.
Job Description
As Restaurant Manager you will take full responsibility for running the restaurant, bar lounge and also help with events within the hotel.. Specific responsibilities include:
- management , training and developing a team of 15 staff
- driving service standards, implementing new SOPS as required
- driving department sales through up selling and promotions
- accountable for food and beverage costs along with the Head Chef
- rotas, managing wage costs in line with the business
- managing operating costs
Required Experience
We are looking for candidates with Restaurant Management experience ideally in a 4/5* hotel environment. You must have worked with rosette level food and beverage operation and be able to prove your abilities to deliver great guest service.
You must have great attention to detail, with the ability to drive and improve standards. We are looking for a manager who is a self starter and hard worker.
Team leadership skills and a high level of customer focus is essential, along with a hands on management style. A good knowledge of managing finances, GPs and budgets is required.
