A modern and unique 4* hotel in Sligo, require a Sous chef for a very successful restaurant with a Rossette award. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a hotel restaurant, and be willing to take charge in the absence of the Head Chef.
As Sous Chef your responsibilities include
1) Be responsible for planning and directing the food preparation in the kitchen.
2) Supervise, train and monitor the position of the Chef de Partie and junior chefs.
3) Report any issues in the kitchen to the Head Chef, or solve them yourself.
4) Work closely with the Head Chef to create new dishes and planning ideas for the menu.
5) Be responsible for the safe storage of food and make sure that food and safety regulations are being met.
6) Control stock levels and order when necessary.
7) Be in charge in the absence of the Head Chef.

4) Have a strong attention to detail.
5) Speak Fluent English
